It aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the complex needs of patients and their families and carers from the early diagnostic phase through to end of life. Transforming Dementia Care
Study Type Supported online learning Duration Three months Level Level 7 (postgraduate) Start Date Various - see note on registration below This module critically reviews current approaches, research, and treatments in relation to different types of dementia and the disease trajectory, including end-of-life care. The module is grounded in person-centred approaches, emphasising the importance of excellent communication and ethical decision-making skills. Current key legislation and local and national drivers will be explored, and students will also critically review the interface of health and social care and collaboration across the multi-disciplinary team.
