Foundations of Managing Asthma Short Course

This Foundations of Managing Asthma Short Course is accredited by the University of Hertfordshire and is taught at Level 5/Diploma level.

This course is aimed at health care professionals and health care support workers who participate in the delivery and management of care for people with asthma, their families and carers.
Successful learners will demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and management of asthma and using current clinical guidelines will be able to suggest, initiate and vary treatment in response to assessment of individual clinical needs.

Enhancing Asthma Care in Professional Practice Short Course

This Enhancing Asthma Care in Professional Practice Short Course is accredited by the University of Hertfordshire and is taught at Level 6/Degree level.

This course is aimed at any health care professional who wants to develop a leading role in the delivery and management of services for people with asthma and their families.

This multi-professional course focuses upon the assessment and management of the individual with asthma within the context of the wider community. Importance is placed on a patient centred approach, the health needs of the individual, health promotion and self-empowerment, whilst acknowledging the professional, political and social climate within which services are provided.
