Who We Are
Executive Team
Education for Health is led by our Chief Executive, supported by our Executive Team, also identified as the Senior Leadership Team.
Richard Brown
Chief Executive Officer

Richard Brown has worked within the third sector since 1996, when he started his journey at The Big issue in the North. He rose to managing director of the company and chief executive officer of the charity (The Big Issue in the North Trust) and oversaw a period of financial growth, enabling the organisation to work with more homeless people, providing them with the skills to move away from a life on the streets. During this time, he was also the inaugural manager of the England Homeless World Cup team, taking various squads of players to competitions all over the world and working with more than 1,000 people over an eight-year period
Following this came the opportunity to lead Listening Ear, a mental health counselling organisation based in Merseyside. This included developing the largest suicide bereavement support service in the UK, providing timely support to people bereaved by suicide.
With significant experience of people and operational development, Richard will enjoy the challenges that will enable Education for Health to thrive.
