Chaired by Dr Robert Angus, the Clinical Practice Advisory Group (CPAG) meeting brings together professionals from across the healthcare sector to share experience from the front-line and provide independent advice and direction to Education for Health (EfH).
The second CPAG meeting took place on 9 February 2022 and considered how EfH could best support healthcare professionals in coming months. Particular attention was given to providing career and education pathway mapping as the NHS workforce looks to restart development following the high pressure of recent years.
Specific discussion topics included:
- Supporting the re-balancing and rebuilding of NHS teams
- Career pathways within the healthcare sector
- Bite sized learning
- Training Hubs
- Preventing infections and understanding the technologies behind vaccinations
- Clinical content of postgraduate modules
The group agreed that a focus on providing flexible education and training for multidisciplinary teams was key to help strengthen the NHS workforce. EfH courses include set core learning alongside content shaped to suit the specific learning needs and focuses of course participants.
