We offer a choice of three standalone Paediatric Asthma Masterclasses, each at a cost of £45. Each of these sessions are 90-minutes and explore best practice and how to support asthma patients and their families, as well as an ‘ask the expert’ opportunity. You can select to attend all three masterclasses at a total cost of £135, or just the session most appropriate to your role.

Our Paediatric Asthma Masterclass series includes 3 x 90-minute sessions exploring best practice and how to support asthma patients and their families. Each session includes an ‘ask the expert’ opportunity.
There has never been a better time to update your Paediatric Asthma knowledge and know-how. Following the implementation of the National Bundle of Care for Children and Young People with Asthma in 2021, healthcare professionals are increasingly required to work in partnership with parents, carers, and non-clinical professionals to provide the best care and support for patients.
Our interactive Masterclass Series will explore the diagnosis and management of paediatric asthma, and how to effectively support patients and their families to maximise self-management of their condition. Whether you are in a new healthcare role and want to increase your knowledge of the basics, a more experienced clinician who has questions about challenging cases, or are a non-clinical practitioner supporting children with asthma as part of your role, you will find our CPD-accredited workshop series has something for you.
Increase your knowledge and know-how
Each session will be led by an experienced clinical specialist and facilitator and will cover the following content:
Masterclass 1 – Foundations of Paediatric Asthma
Masterclass 2: Treatment of paediatric asthma
Masterclass 3: Supporting proactive self-management of paediatric asthma*
* please note, this session is suitable for anyone who supports CYP with asthma, including those in non-healthcare roles
Each Masterclass is delivered as a standalone session, so you are welcome to attend the whole series, or just those sessions that are appropriate to your role. Please ensure you select the correct Masterclass sessions (1/2/3) when adding to your basket above.
All sessions will include the opportunity to ask questions of our expert facilitator – please do come prepared with any specific questions or issues you would like to discuss, but do be aware that we cannot offer diagnosis or treatment advice regarding individual cases.
Course Details
Each Masterclass will last 90 minutes in total, with dedicated time for questions at the end.
Delivered via Microsoft Teams, each session will begin with a presentation from our expert clinical facilitator and provide offer opportunities for interactive discussion.
After attending this masterclass series, you will:
– Understand what paediatric asthma is, and how it is diagnosed
– Be aware of a range of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options
– Understand a range of strategies for supporting patients, parents, and carers
– Know how to support proactive self-management
Attendance at one masterclass equates to 90 minutes of CPD time. Certificates will be issued 2-4 weeks after the event.
