The importance of excellent communication skills and effective collaborative working will be emphasised and explored in relation to the person living with frailty. Current key legislation, local, national and international drivers will be explored and applied to the management within your organisation. You will also critically review the interface of health and social care.

Covid-19 has highlighted the importance of effective support and management of people with respiratory failure. This accredited Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) and Respiratory Failure Level 7 module is designed to enable learners to evaluate outcomes, share best practice and improve health outcomes. The complex nature of respiratory failure and management will be explored using selected clinical scenarios which include end of life and symptom control. In addition, non-invasive ventilation outside of the critical care is examined including ventilator design and functionality, patient and clinician safety and staff education and training.
