Education for Health were approached in December 2014 by the Northamptonshire workforce team and Nene & Corby CCG to develop a locally delivered bespoke Leadership programme for care home staff.

In the wake of the Care Certificate1, the training aimed to instill the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for leaders in the sector to take proactive steps in inspiring and leading their teams towards better standards of care and reduce avoidable hospital admissions.

The programme, delivered over three sessions, was provided in an engaging manner which promoted interaction between attendees and shared learning, and aimed to inspire and facilitate long term improvement in practice for managers, shift leaders and their teams.

Testimonials

‘This has been an eye opener about contemporary theories and skills of Leadership. Much appreciated and well done!’

‘The teacher was very good; she covered everything in the training, including a smile at all times. Helped me gain the confidence to talk, to think more about my job also to change something at my work.’
