Accessing the ARTP Register

Training and Preparation for Assessment

Education for Health provides Spirometry training designed for healthcare professionals who are responsible for performing, recording and interpreting spirometry in adults, or a combination of these.

This training equips participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve competence in Spirometry, enabling them to assess their patients with confidence and effectively diagnose their respiratory disease if supported by clinical history.

Written by experts and developed in line with ARTP standards, the course is delivered by eLearning supported by two interactive study days facilitated by clinical experts in both spirometry and education. The study days provide practical support and problem solving to prepare students for assessment and entry onto the ARTP National Register.

The Assessment Process

The assessment process is a national process which is delivered through ICS&T overseen by the ARTP.

Following attendance at the Education for Health first study day participants will receive an email directly from ICS&T detailing how to book their practical assessment and submit an e- portfolio.

The cost of this process is included in the Education for Health Spirometry course.
