It’s likely you’ve heard of AmazonSmile, a website operated by Amazon that lets customers access all the same products as Amazon.co.uk, but with the added benefit of donations being made from Amazon to charitable organisations each time someone purchases. The great news is that Education for Health is now a listed charity on the AmazonSmile website.
How does AmazonSmile work?
Customers can opt to shop at AmazonSmile, where they will have access to all the same products and prices as the standard Amazon site. Customers will have the option to select a charitable organisation from a list, of which Education for Health is now part of. For each purchase made on the AmazonSmile site, Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of the customer’s purchases to the customer’s selected charity. There is no extra costs to customers for using the AmazonSmile site.

If you’d like Amazon to donate to Education for Health each time you purchase with Amazon, then follow the below steps:
- Visit AmazonSmile
- Click Accounts and Lists in the top right corner
- Select AmazonSmile from the dropdown menu
- Select Change Charity on the right-hand side
- Search Education for Health in the ‘Pick your own charitable organisation’ search box
- Then click select next to the Education for Health search result
How donations will be used
Donations received from AmazonSmile will be used to provide bursaries for healthcare professionals in the NHS, enabling them to complete education and training courses with us in the future.
