The third meeting of the Clinical Practice Advisory Group (CPAG) meeting took place on Wednesday 29 June 2022. The group brings together professionals from across the healthcare sector to share experience from the front-line and provide independent advice and direction to Education for Health (EfH).
The agenda for the third meeting focused on ensuring that EfH’s education and training portfolio is fully aligned with the current needs of healthcare professionals. Discussions covered ensuring EfH bench-marked effectively against industry standards, took into consideration career pathways within the NHS and supported effectively both those within primary and secondary care and those new to healthcare and those with experience.
Four key items were discussed:
- EfH’s new Postgraduate Certificate in Respiratory and how it can be aligned to fully support the career pathway for healthcare professionals in both primary and secondary care
- EfH’s CVD and heart failure training portfolio and how to ensure it supports both career progression for experienced healthcare professionals and knowledge building for those new to the area.
- The continued need for Covid-19 resources for healthcare professionals
- ELearning platforms and how to ensure these meet the needs of healthcare professionals in today’s age
