Education for Health actions on Covid-19 (coronavirus)

25th March 2020

The coronavirus (Covid-19) situation is developing rapidly and, in response, Education for Health is monitoring daily how best to advise, support and protect its staff, associate trainers, students and visiting contacts.

We have postponed all face to face training until 31st May 2020. This will be reviewed in light of relevant new guidance and we will update our website with any changes.

Where possible, we are developing alternatives to support and reassure students quickly and creatively with a range of virtual alternatives.

We have run a number of successful webinars to replace study days in the last week and will continue to offer this option for the foreseeable future where possible.

Feedback from students attending our webinar for our short course ‘Enhancing COPD Care in Professional Practice’:

“Super Webinar, thanks Ann and Fiona.”

“No questions, but thanks for today, very useful.”

Students

All current face to face study days have been postponed until the end of May 2020.

If you are due to attend a study day in Wellesbourne or the NCVO in London, we will contact you with further information regarding virtual options for your study day to enable you to continue with your studies.

If you have been allocated a place on a course via a commissioner and are due to attend a study day outside of the locations mentioned above, we will be in contact with you in due course.

If your studies have been affected by this and you are due to submit coursework, we are able to offer you an extension on the current hand in date.  However, you will need to complete the appropriate form.

If you are on an Open University validated module that started before 1st February 2020 with study days in Wellesbourne or the NCVO in London, please see the ‘News and Notifications’ section on your iLearn homepage for further details.

If you are on a University of Hertfordshire validated short course that started after 1st February 2020 with study days in Wellesbourne or the NCVO in London, please see your Canvas page for further details.

If you have any queries about your current course or a course/workshop you are due to attend, please contact our student support team:
