Checking heart age – will it see lifestyles change?

5th September 2018

Hannah WaterhouseWith patients over 30 being encouraged to check their heart age, Education for Health Cardiovascular Lead Hannah Waterhouse explains why she thinks it is a good initiative.

“This Public Health England initiative should raise peoples’ awareness of their cardiovascular risk, but more than that, I hope it will be an instigator of change in lifestyle.

“As a charity, we are dedicated to ensuring healthcare professionals are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to help people make those changes and support them in managing their risk factors.”

Education for Health has a range of education and training for healthcare professionals including Cardiovascular modules at Levels 5 and 6, and workshops both at basic levels and updates for more experienced staff. Click to find out more.
