MPharm, MSc Clinical Pharm, MSc Diabetes, PgDip Advanced Practice in Urgent Primary Care with IP

Charles Odiase is a Consultant Pharmacist Primary Care and Diabetes at the Kings Langley and Longmeadow surgeries, and is a member of the Hertfordshire and West Essex (HWE) ICB diabetes transformation group.

Over the years, he has worked and gained experiences across the hospital, community, CCG PMOT, and General Practice pharmacy sectors. He is an active non-medical prescriber with both generalist and specialist experiences. Charles is also a NHSE/HEE The Centre for Advancing Practice multi-professional framework credentialled advanced clinical practitioner, with Masters degrees in Diabetes, Clinical Pharmacy (hospital), and a Postgraduate Diploma in advanced practice in Urgent Primary Care. He is one of a few alumni pharmacist of the prestigious UK-wide Diabetes UK clinical champions two-year leadership and management development programme delivered at the Ashridge Hult International Business School.

Charles is a past Chair of the Diabetes UK Primary Care Course annual events, member of the Diabetes UK Professional Conference Organising Committee, and the Chair of Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2024. He was a visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, and an active course support tutor and workshop facilitator for Education for Health, teaching across Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and CVD subject areas. He was a PCN education lead for Allied Healthcare Professionals under the HWE training HUB, and Consultant Pharmacist Primary Care and Diabetes (Lead Clinical Pharmacist) for the Dacorum GP federation. He is also ones of the advisors to Diabetesafrica.org, and Idealdiabetes.com.
