Representing the voice of nurses

Hannah WaterhouseI am currently the President of BANCC (British Association for Nursing in Cardiovascular Care) who represents the voice of nurses at both a national and international level (http://www.bancc.org/pages/default.asp).

Within this role is the responsibility to have some representation of British nurses within the European Society of Cardiology’s Nursing and Allied Healthcare Professionals’  Association (CCNAP).

I was on holiday in Barcelona over the August bank holiday weekend and attended the National Societies Committee meeting at the ESC Congress.  Currently there is an initiative in progress to encourage individual nations to take up the use of the ESC Guidelines but CCNAP is also keen to encourage greater membership of their organisation.

I would like to encourage you to access their website to see what the benefits of membership could be for you, and consider joining.  Bearing in mind that the CCNAP Euroheartcare Conference is in Dublin this year, you may well be keen to become members to take advantage of the discounted registration fee and access to travel grants.
