30 years, 30 stories: Sheila Edwards

8th June 2017

Education for Health is celebrating 30 years of improving the lives of people with long term conditions. We are marking this important milestone by sharing the stories of 30 people involved in our success, today it is the turn of Sheila Edwards, Chief Executive of the British Thoracic Society (BTS).

“Since its inception, Education for Health has embodied the belief that, for good practice to thrive, education must lie at the centre of every health care professional’s development plans. BTS shares this belief, which is one of the reasons we honoured [founder] Greta Barnes with a BTS Medal in December 2016. Monica Fletcher has developed this ethos, and taken EfH forward as the leading provider of AHP education for Long Term Conditions in an increasingly challenging environment.”
