External Examiner – MSc Respiratory Practice

Education for Health are looking to appoint an External Examiner to cover the MSc Respiratory Practice from 1 October 2017. The external examiner will be expected to monitor the quality of the coursework across the programme.

We are seeking candidates whose areas of expertise would enable him or her to monitor the quality of these courses and externally moderate assessed work. External Examiners are required to attend at least three assessment boards a year and complete an annual report. External Examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.

Appropriate standing and expertise in the field of Respiratory Care / Long Term Conditions management and experience of Higher Education is required to assess and confirm comparability of standards. The post is for an initial period of 4 years, starting 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2021.

Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Practice/ Long Term Conditions

We are developing our portfolio, which includes a range of blended delivery options for our students, which means this is an exciting time to be joining our team and a great opportunity for an experienced senior lecturer.  This post holder will act as programme lead for the MSc programme and have responsibility for ensuring a high quality learning experience for all students undertaking the programme, working closely with our partner university and supporting our Education Leads and trainers to deliver excellent education in line with our charitable objectives.

If you are passionate about Long Term Conditions, have a higher level degree and experience of teaching and learning in HE and are keen to develop your skills in designing blended learning in a supportive, flexible and values driven environment, then this is the role for you.

  • Location: Warwick (with flexibility for some home working)
  • Salary circa £50,000 (depending on experience)
  • Pension scheme 6% employer contribution, 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
