This course is designed for health care professionals who regularly encounter the challenges of managing patients with end stage cardio-respiratory symptoms and non malignant palliative care. This exciting distance learning course provides a combination of self directed study, comprehensive education pack with practical case scenarios and interactive study days. The course is ideal for qualified staff who deal with long term conditions in the community, and need advanced practical skills and expertise in the management of cardio-respiratory symptoms and eventual palliative care. The course facilitates the critical analysis of the associated pathophysiology, investigation processes, pharmacological and non-pharmacological management including specialist referral and palliative care. At the end of the course practitioners will be equipped to deliver advanced models of care in the community to support patients living with complex, end stage cardio-respiratory symptoms.The course is in line with best practice and Skills for Health (CHS38/58/62-70/72/78/85/95/138/158/178/, CHD GB2 / HWB2/4/6/764, PSL 5).
