This course is designed for healthcare professionals who wish to develop their skills and expertise in the assessment and examination of a patient with cardio-respiratory symptoms. It aims to educate health professionals and equip them with the clinical skills to allow them to assess, and appropriately investigate, diagnose and refer patients. Content includes analysis of the mechanisms that underlie cardio-respiratory symptom, taking a history from a patient presenting with cardio-respiratory symptoms, Interpretation, critical analysis and evaluation of the investigations appropriate for such a patient and evaluation of how these investigations are employed for differing situations. Critical examination of the differing causes of these symptoms is explored and that of the process of reaching a diagnosis in cardio-respiratory disease.
