This workshop provides an introduction to spirometry enabling anyone who wishes to undertake it to identify their learning needs for future development. it provides an overview of the key aspects of patient preparation and safety with an awareness of the importance of accuracy and reproducibility in testing. There is an introduction to the ‘maths’ of interpretation and the guidelines that underpin them alongside basic recognition of normal, obstructive restrictive and combined traces.Delivery method: Interactive Study Day
