This interactive workshop introduces participants to the core skills of concordant consultation, and provides opportunities to discuss and develop techniques for supporting shared decision making and planning in an informal environment.
Living a full life with one or more long term conditions is a challenge which needs expertise, both the expertise of the trained professional and, crucially, the expertise of the individual patient/client. It has been clearly demonstrated that good communication is central to good healthcare, and when patients/clients and health and social care professionals work together, the results can be life-changing.
