This course is for anyone involved in the care of patients with COPD. It will promote awareness of this previously neglected condition and enable them to understand their role and responsibility in implementing the National Clinical Strategy over the coming years. The course and the interactive study days promote understanding of the correct diagnosis and management of the COPD by the use of case studies and peer discussion along with the use of evidence based study and practical sessions such as spirometry. Completion of the module will provide the students with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for patients with COPD in any healthcare setting.
