Gift aid
If you are a taxpayer in the UK, you can make a donation under the Gift Aid scheme. Your donation can be large or small, regular or one-off. Everyclick reclaims Gift Aid automatically when you donate online.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we receive an extra 28 pence from HM Revenue & Customs, helping your donation to work harder. For example, £10 can be turned into £12.80 at no cost to you. Online donors can select the Gift Aid option when making their donation.
To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year. If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim further tax relief via your self assessment tax return.
There are also other tax-efficient donation methods available for UK taxpayers making gifts to UK charities, which can increase the value of your donation at no cost to you. Depending on the type of gift you make, you may have to make a claim to receive tax relief (either on your self assessment tax return or by writing to your own tax office).
