Funding & sponsorship
A benefit of studying with Education for Health is that we can guide you towards funding opportunities. These are available from a variety of sources: charities, external organisations, pharmaceutical companies and employers. Take advantage of our industry links and business toolkit advice to help to secure potentially valuable funding for training.
Funding opportunities:
- Charities/external organisations bursaries
- Pharmaceutical industry bursaries
- East Mids SHA Workforce Deanery LBR funding
- Yorkshire & the Humber SHA funding
- DH Risk Training funding
- Employer funding
Charities/external organisations bursaries
Part funding for Education for Health training courses and workshops are often provided by the external organisations and charities shown here. As you would expect, interest in obtaining bursaries is high, so don't delay in finding out about these and, where relevant, applying online. Pharmaceutical industry bursaries
We are often fortunate to be able to offer part sponsorship for courses through the pharmaceutical companies that we work with. We update the current availability of any such pharmaceutical industry funding options on this site, so keep checking!
In addition, we recommend that you make contact with any of the pharmaceutical company's local representatives that you may be aware of and ask if any bursaries or sponsorship are available.
East Midlands SHA Workforce Deanery LBR funding
If you work within the East Midlands SHA you are entitled to access their Learning Beyond Registration funding. This allows you to study with us at no cost within the terms of agreement.
Click on the logo below to go to the East Midlands SHA Learning Beyond Registration website. Here you can register by selecting ‘Education for Health':
For further information contact Laura on 01926 838969 or view our list of courses in the East Midlands region.
LBR funded applications are to be subject to a prioritisation protocol which will reflect organisational and service need according to the agreed priority list as agreed with local health community representatives. This may mean the module request may not be approved for funding immediately and the student may be placed on a reserve list.

Employer funding
One of the ways to access funding may be through your employer. We have developed a comprehensive range of business case toolkits, provided on a CD Rom, which cover each disease area and are free of charge from our stand at forthcoming events. Make use of these to put together a detailed business case to help secure funding from your employer. In a competitive marketplace for funding, these toolkits may just give you the edge.
