Transferring short course or module places

Education for Health reserves the right to cancel a short course or study day. If this becomes necessary we will give you a full explanation and arrange a new date wherever possible.

If you withdraw from one module and move to another there will be a minimum re-allocation fee of £125. If there has been significant changes since your registration you will also need to purchase new learning materials.

Note: International and bespoke courses may be subject to additional costs (such as postage, trainers, travel costs, development costs etc).

Distance Learning with Education for Health

All of our diploma and degree level modules are delivered by distance learning and have comprehensive written learning materials. These materials have been designed to facilitate learning. They are clearly written, easy to follow and focus on the practical issues in disease management and patient care. Many modules are supported by other materials such as CD Roms.

Most have study days where you can meet and exchange ideas with other students. The number of study days for each module varies and it may be necessary for you to attend for assessment. Please check the module details for further information.

Study Days and Assessment

Venues

Education for Health is based in Warwick, but more than half of all its teaching and assessment takes place elsewhere.

Study days and assessment for our modules takes place in:

  • our regional venues in Scotland (Stirling) and Warwick
  • at a local venue to suit the organisers, where arranged on a satellite basis.

Venue fee is £50 for Stirling, Warwick is free.

You can expect a highly interactive session in a group of about 20.  There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss your individual queries as well as to network with fellow students.  It is important for you to realise that these sessions are not 'taught' as such but, rather, your learning will be facilitated by the trainer as this is the best way to make learning relevant, meaningful and memorable.

Please note that tea and coffee and lunch is provided.  Registration is usually between 9:00am and 9:30am.  You will be given the timings of your sessions with the learning materials.
