If you have a passion for providing healthcare training, why not join us?

Education for Health is looking for practising clinicians in the UK, Europe and the USA who would like to extend their role into training and development.

In the UK we have a high-calibre team of over 80 trainers. All are practising clinicians from a variety of backgrounds, including nurse practitioners, general practitioners and AHPs, and are experts in the management of respiratory, cardiovascular disease and/or health improvement. As a trainer, you would be joining a leading educational charity with an impressive reputation.  We provide training anywhere for teams or multidisciplinary groups of up to 20 people and are proud to have developed a wealth of experience in working collaboratively to develop sustainable education programmes.  So far we have delivered education in 47 countries and provided support for ongoing programmes in Syria, Saudi, Bermuda and a new programme launched in Bangladesh.

The role of a UK/European trainer

  • Facilitating study days and workshops on courses ranging from one day introductory level, through diploma, degree and post graduate modules throughout the UK and overseas.
  • Carrying out practical assessments and marking coursework.
  • Becoming, if you choose to, a personal tutor for students on the MSc programme or supervising dissertations.  
  • As respected opinion leaders, Education for Health trainers are invited to sit on advisory boards or focus groups and write or review articles for publication.

The role of a US trainer

In the USA the trainer role includes facilitating study days for one-day workshops and distance learning courses that have two in-person study days.  Additional aspects include grading papers; advising on content updates; reviewing course materials; and representing the organization on professional committees and advisory boards.
