New Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis Questionnaire
1 April 2010
Education for Health, Allergy UK and Asthma UK are pleased to launch their 'New Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis Questionnaire' which aims to help people identify if their asthma and allergic rhinitis are well managed. The campaign was initiated and funded by MSD.
The ‘Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis Questionnaire' is a patient self-assessment tool that patients can use in discussions with their doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Why should patients complete the questionnaire?
This is a simple questionnaire that will give doctors, nurses or pharmacists information about how well their asthma and allergic rhinitis are managed. The doctor, nurse or pharmacist may ask them further questions and this may serve to help them manage their condition better.
Who created the questionnaire?
The questionnaire was created by 3 organisations:
- Education for Health is the UK's leading education charity for health professionals working with patients with long-term conditions.
- Allergy UK is the country's leading medical charity dealing with allergy.
- Asthma UK is the charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the 5.4 million people in the UK whose lives are affected by asthma.
The campaign was initiated and funded by MSD.
