'Better Breathing Bangladesh' Update
23 August 2011
Latest update on Education for Health's important project to improve the quality of care provided to patients with long term conditions in Bangladesh.
Since 2009 we have been training primary care doctors in respiratory care from across the country. Almost 100 have undertaken our asthma diploma level course and we have 30 doctors who have now completed the course successfully. We have sent out volunteer Education for Health Trainers, learning materials, clinical equipment and patient materials to support our long term goal to raise levels of care and create a self perpetuating system of education for doctors, nurses and pharmacists in Bangladesh.
Having met the Bangladesh Minister for Health, Prof AFM Ruhal Haque in July 2011, our CEO Monica Fletcher now has his endorsement of the project.
