Depression in a patient with COPD: Case study on REAL website

Quality of life issues are extremely important in long term conditions. Depression is known to be more common in people with long term conditions but may go undiagnosed. We are therefore pleased to add this important case study to our website.
Ernie has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) but there is more to his case than meets the eye. By working through Ernie's consultations we aim to highlight the importance of assessing patients with long term conditions holistically and involving the wider multidisciplinary team in his care.
